Classic Hits 92.9 WBPM and Verizon Wireless on Route 9W in Kingston present RALLY FOR THE GALLEY on September 5th and 6th .
Over the last year, everyone here at WBPM have become very close with Diane Reader and the staff of the Queens Galley in Kingston . The Queens Galley is a food resource center that really makes a difference for the communities of Ulster County . In July, they served almost 8000 meals to people who were hungry.
But, there's a problem. No matter how amazing the Queens Galley is, they can't provide the community service that their reputation is based on without a lot of support. The Queens Galley is faced with the possibility of having to shut down by the end of the year if they don't get some financial assistance. Several long-time contributors are no longer able to help them so we're asking YOU to help keep the Queens Galley operating into 2009.
On September 5 th and 6 th , Classic Hits 92.9 WBPM and Verizon Wireless will present a 36-hour fundraising marathon called RALLY FOR THE GALLEY. Jack Hammer and Andre Kane from WBPM's Electric Morning Show have several special guests scheduled to attend and we hope you'll stop by to make a donation to help support this great – local – organization.
