August 21st is National Senior Citizens Day!

Today we celebrate a group of wise folk: senior citizens! Senior citizens are traditionally people who are over 60 years of age, but in today’s society, this seems pretty young! President Ronald Reagan proclaimed the first National Senior Citizens Day in 1988 to honor those who “reinforce historical roles as leaders and as links with our patrimony and sense of purpose as individuals and as a Nation.” Do something nice for your parents, grandparents, or just any senior citizen you see throughout your day. They will appreciate it, and it’s always nice to help the older folks out.
