George Renninger of the Wunderle Candy Company created candy form in the 1880’s! His idea was to mimic the look of a kernel of corn (bet you never noticed that one), which was an instant hit. Candy corn also goes down in the books as one of the first candies to feature three different colors all in one bite. While it can be eaten at any time of the year, candy corn is the universal sweet treat during the Halloween season. So grab a handful and celebrate!
