The American Cancer Society is a highly-accomplished organization, with goals set to combat Cancer and increase the awareness and advocacy of the disease. What many people don't know about, though, is that the American Cancer Society has communities called "Hope Lodges" that help to be a home-away-from-home for those who need it most. Whether you are a patient yourself, or if you are a friend or family member of a patient, these communities create a nurturing environment waiting for you to step into.
These Hope Lodges are found in over 30 cities across the United States, with NYC being New York's home base lodge. The American Cancer Society endlessly promotes their lodges, as they not only allow for a place to rest, but also help to take a weight off your shoulder...as lodge stays come at NO cost. Patients and their loved ones are highly encouraged to open their hearts and minds to these Hope Lodges, and are reminded that they have endless support from this honorable organization.
