Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" climbs up to the top of charts every single holiday season...and we don't see that changing any time soon!! The hit song has become quite the trademark holiday song for many people, remaining more and more popular each year. But even with all the popularity, fans were shocked last night when the "Queen of Christmas" sang the hit song for the FIRST time ever at an Awards show!! And of course, at no other than the Billboard Music Awards.
Aside from her fabulous performance, Carey had another reason to make a special appearance at the awards show. In fact, she was actually awarded for the Billboard’s Chart Achievement Award, for this song in particular!! And who else to present it to her than her tow loving twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
Coined as the "wait for it" moment of the season, Mariah's famous stamp of approval appears every year following Halloween. Each year she posts a holiday themed video, boasting "It's here!!" in regards to her desired start of the Christmas season!!
